Workshop on "How to Do Business in India?" Focus on “Talent and Huam Resource Management”
In order to implement the New Southbound Policy issued by Taiwanese government, the newly-established Indian Resource Center for Economic and Industry-Academy Cooperation collaborates with Indian Education Society's Management College and Research Centre (IESMCRC) to hold a series of workshops on "How to Do Business in India?" The first three workshops were held in Mumbai on September 23rd-24th, New Delhi on October 7th-8th and Taipei on November 27th-28th of 2017, respectively. Soon we are going to hold the fourth workshop in Mumbai on the 3rd (Saturday) of March, 2018.
The objective of this workshop is aimed at discussing strategies related to attracting and retaining talent as the key issue for any business to succeed in India. With India emerging as destination for business, there is an upsurge of demand for talented workers across sectors, industries and functions. Despite the demographic dividend currently visible in India, work skills remain to be scarce. This poses multiple dilemmas for businesses vis a vis hiring right and maintaining culture fit, hiring and training vs hiring a ready fit and cost of retention vs cost of attrition. This workshop is structured to generate discussion along these issues for Taiwanese businesses in India.
